Recently, the final of the "Global Fintech Elite Gathering and the First Fintech Competition of Hefei Binhu Financial Town" with the Tsinghua University Fintech Research Institute as the academic guidance unit came to a successful conclusion. After the preliminary round and the semi-final, Origin Quantum finally won the first prize of this competition.
Let’s look retrospectively, Quantum has already been put forward and drawn the attention of finacial industry. In September 2020, Origin Quantum signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CCB Fintech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CCB Jinke"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Construction Bank Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the fintech industry, to establish the first quantum finance application laboratory in China. Focusing on the application scenarios of quantum computing in the financial field, the two sides benchmarked the cooperation model between IFC and quantum computing enterprises to help the development of financial technology in China.
As the first quantum computing company in China, Origin Quantum has continuously cultivated and produced fruitful results in the field of quantum finance. Origin Quantum has joined hands with CCB Jinke to launch the first batch of quantum financial applications in China, including common European-style option pricing and quantum financial algorithms and applications of single-subject European-style option combination strategies. In the future, Origin Quantum will continue to dig deeper into the application of quantum computing in the field of financial technology and explore more possibilities of quantum computing in the financial industry.
The "Global Fintech Elite Gathering and the First Fintech Competition of Hefei Binhu Financial Town" is hosted by Hefei Xingtai Financial Holdings (Group) Co., Ltd. by the Fintech Research Institute of Tsinghua University as the academic guidance unit, and jointly organized by Hefei Binhu Financial Town Management Co., Ltd. and Anhui Internet Finance Association. This competition is also the first time that Tsinghua University has landed such a high-standard and wide-coverage fintech industry event in Anhui Province, with a view to helping to build a regional fintech innovation community based in Anhui and radiating the Yangtze River Delta.
From the current situation, although China is in a leading position in quantum communication-related fields, the accumulation of other aspects of quantum computing is still in a relatively weak or even lagging stage, and it is still necessary to catch up. Looking forward to the future, the development of quantum computing is of great significance and has a long way to go, requiring governments, professional institutions, enterprises and other parties to work together and work together.
For the government, it is necessary not only to expel "bad money", but also to cultivate "good money". In order not to repeat the mistake of "first development and then governance" of some financial businesses in the early stage and bring major losses to the country and the public, the government first needs to improve the policy and regulatory system, crack down on illegal financial activities in the name of quantum computing, and regulate the impact of quantum computing on national information security and citizen privacy protection in advance.
